Marco Cinque



Marco Cinque is a lyric tenor who has studied and performed in Australia and Italy.
He has undertaken roles with Melbourne City Opera including: Alfredo in La Traviata;
Rudolfo in La Boheme; Nemorino in L' Elisir D' Amore; Fenton in Falstaff;
Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi; Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville, Turriddu in
Cavalleria Rusticana; Frederick in The Pirates Of Penzance; El Remendado in
Carmen; Peppe in I Pagliacci; Il Giudice in Un Ballo in Maschera; Spolletta
in Tosca; Tinca in Il Tabarro ; Ernest in The Obelisk and the soldier in
The Widow.
In 2007, Marco debuted in the roles of Edgardo in Donizettiā Lucia di Lammermoor
and as Foresto in Verdiā Attila. In 2009 Marco will make his debut in the title roll of
Ernani at BMW Edge theatre in Melbourne. In concert, Marco has
sung the tenor role of Uriel in Haydn's The Creation; Camille in The Merry Widow as
well as the lead tenor parts in Mozart's Requiem and in Carmina Burana.
Marco sang as a special guest at the Second of June Festival for the Republic, with the
Umberto Giordano Symphonic Orchestra in Foggia, Italy and at the Castello Di Medici in Tuscany.

In 2007 he performed in The Pavarotti Story and sang the role of Jaquino in Beethoven's Fidelio
for the Melbourne City Opera company and sang Ismael in Verdi's Nabucco with the Heidelberg
Chorale Society. He played the role of Tony Candolino in the award winning ICA
production of Maria Callas Masterclass which toured nationally. Marco performs regularly in
concert throughout Australia in both cultural and corporate events and was part of a live video
linkup with Italy celebrating the centenary of Guiseppe Verdi's death.


Pursuing other stagecraft Marco has performed in film, and has recorded in popular music
and operatic genres.
